Export

Export

The Export section makes it easy for users to export either a worksheet or workbook to create a static copy of the output that no longer includes the Finsyte Functions. By creating a static output, a user loses the ability to update any data fields, but gains the ability to share the results with people who do not have Finsyte licenses. This option will not remove any non-Finsyte functions such as SUM, IF, etc. from the static copy.

Export to static copy

Selecting either option Workbook or Worksheet will result in a save dialog appearing to name the static output Excel file and choose the location in file explorer.

Note: If any worksheet in the workbook is protected, the Save Static Snapshot options will be disabled. Unprotect your worksheets to save exports.

Export Selected Sheets

Selecting Select Sheets will prompt a dialog where users can determine which sheets and in what order, they would like to export.

Select Sheets Dialog for static copy

As seen in the dialog, the Export Static Snapshot list on the right indicates which sheets will be returned to the static copy excel workbook that gets created. Select Save to prompt a save and rename to a file location.

Note: At this time, saving static outputs to OneDrive or Web locations is not allowed and will result in no action taking place.

Create Static Snapshot within Workbook

A user can also right click on an existing worksheet tab in their workbook to create a static snapshot directly within the workbook.

Static Snapshot Within Workbook

This makes it easy to have point in time snapshots of your reports within Finsyte workbooks containing live NetSuite data.
