NetSuite Inventory and Work Orders from Excel

Create and edit NetSuite inventory adjustments, transfers, fulfillments, receipts, work orders and assembly builds from Excel, in bulk.

What Teams Do With It

Inventory and manufacturing in bulk, from Excel

Counts, adjustments, transfers and production runs generate a lot of transactions, and the numbers behind them usually come from a spreadsheet or a warehouse export. Bulk Records turns that sheet into NetSuite transactions, lines included, and keeps the bill of materials and routing records editable the same way. Only the records you changed are sent, and anything NetSuite rejects is noted on the cell that caused it.

  • Post inventory adjustments and transfers

Upload adjustments, inventory transfers and bin transfers with a line per item. When you change a line’s quantity and its inventory detail is a single status row, that row is updated to the new quantity.

  • Fulfill and receive in bulk

Name the source in Created From and Bulk Records creates item fulfillments from sales orders, transfer orders or vendor returns, and item receipts from purchase orders, transfer orders or return authorizations, matching each row to a source line.

  • Run production from a sheet

Create work orders, then issue components, record completions and assembly builds from those orders, and close them when they are done.

  • Maintain BOMs and routings

Bills of materials, BOM revisions, manufacturing routings, cost templates and operation tasks are record types of their own, so they can be listed and updated from a sheet too.

Post inventory and production transactions with their lines without exporting, editing and re-importing a CSV. Once a record is uploaded, its row links straight to that record in NetSuite, so checking it takes one click.

Questions?

Inventory and manufacturing in Bulk Records: FAQ

Q
Can I import inventory adjustments into NetSuite from Excel?
Yes. Add each adjustment with a line per item and upload. Bulk Records creates the adjustments in NetSuite and flags any value NetSuite rejects on its cell.
Q
Can I receive purchase orders or transfer orders in bulk?
Yes. Name the order in Created From on a new item receipt row, and the receipt is created from it with each row matched to an order line. A row that can’t be matched is held back with the reason on its cell.
Q
How is inventory detail handled?
When you change a line’s quantity and its inventory detail is a single status row, Bulk Records updates that row to the new quantity. Templates can also include Inventory Assignment columns for the lot numbers, serial numbers and inventory statuses you manage yourself.
Q
Can I fulfill sales orders in bulk?
Yes. Name the sales order in Created From on a new item fulfillment row, and the fulfillment is created from it with each row matched to an order line.
Q
Which manufacturing records are supported?
Work orders, work order issues, completions and closes, assembly builds and unbuilds, bills of materials, BOM revisions, manufacturing routings, cost templates and operation tasks.
